The Wave Sheaf Offering is an often overlooked and/or under-appreciated event that begins at the end (just as the Sabbath ends) of the weekly Sabbath (when the sheaf is cut) within the Days of Unleavened Bread. This year, the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread occurs on the weekly Sabbath. On the morrow (when the Wave Sheaf Offering would have been presented in the Temple) after the weekly Sabbath, we begin the counting of the 50 days and 7 complete sabbaths, until Pentecost. The meaning of the Wave Sheaf Offering is critical to the plan of Salvation.
