In Isaiah 45:7, God says, “…I make peace and create calamity…” The Bible supports at least three approaches about God’s involvement in calamity. 1.) God initiates the calamity, by getting directly involved for His specific purposes. 2.) God allows Satan to provide the details, within God’s parameters, for His specific purposes. 3.) God allows time and chance to initiate calamity, within God’s parameters, for His specific purposes.
