The Caring Corner Outreach Program
Our vision and actions for ministering to others are based on Jesus’ own words, so that others will see the good things we do and praise our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14, 16). We have been given an opportunity to make a difference in a dark and broken world. We, the members of United Church of God – Birmingham, depend on the Lord to show us the needs He wants us to see, to respond in a manner that honors and glorifies Him, as well as bless others, by serving them through practical expressions of His love.
Current Activities
Oak Mountain Missions Ministries
Urgent Needs: The Mission currently has a critical need for the following items:
Food: Cereal, Condiments, Canned Chili and Rice
Personal Care: Shampoo; Soap, Toilet Paper and Paper Towels
Diapers: Sizes 3, 4, 5 & 6, toddler pull-ups & wipes
Clothing: Pants for school age boys, Boys shoes sizes 12-4; Plus size pants for women; Tennis shoes for mean – all sizes; Tennis shoes for women – sizes 9 & up; Underwear (prefer new) for adults and children – all sizes
Furniture: Kitchen tables & chairs, dressers

Shelby Emergency Assistance
Urgent Needs: S.E.A. has a critical need for the following items:
- Cereal
- Oatmeal (Boxes with individual packets preferred)
- Canned fruit
- Peanut Butter
- Jelly
- Soup (no chicken noodle)
- Chef Boyardee
- Cornbread Mix
- Tuna Helper
- Chicken Helper
- Black Eyed Peas
- Canned vegetables (Except for corn and green beans)
