Here are some of our fundamental beliefs and a brief statement of beliefs. We respect the rights of each person to grow in the grace and knowledge of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at their personal rate of development.

Our Fundamental Beliefs

• Salvation is by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
• Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and it is through Christ that we come to God the Father.
• God’s Law given to man at Mt. Sinai is being written in the hearts and minds of His people through His Holy Spirit.
• The seventh day is the Sabbath Day.
• God’s Sabbath is an identifying sign given by God of Creation and was made Holy by God and cannot be changed by man.
• We accept the Holy Scriptures of the Bible as the inspired Word of God and they serve as the foundation of our beliefs.

 

Statement of Teachings

• We accept the Holy Bible (Old and New Testament) as the inspired Word of God and it serves as the foundation of our beliefs and a guide to our lives. (Deuteronomy 8:3; Isaiah 8:16; Matthew 4:4; II Timothy 3:16-17)
• At the creation, God ordained the seventh day Sabbath. It is an identifying sign of God and His people made Holy by God and cannot be changed by man. (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11; 31:12-17; Leviticus 23:1-3; Mark 1:21; 2:27-28; 6:2; Luke 4:16, 31; 23:56; Hebrews 4:9-11)
• The proclaiming of the gospel message of Jesus Christ and the equipping of the saints are the primary purposes and commissions of the Church. (Matthew 4:23; 24:14; 28:19-20; Mark 1:1, 14; I Corinthians 9:16; Romans 10:15-17; Acts 20:24, 32)
• The church is the spiritual body of Jesus Christ composed of those begotten with and led by God’s Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:12-14; II Corinthians 1:22; 5:5; Romans 8:16-17, 23; John 15:19)
• The ceremony of baptism symbolizes the renunciation and the burial of our past sins through repentance and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior. God’s Holy Spirit is received by those committing their lives to Jesus Christ’s service, at baptism. (John 3:3-6; Romans 8:9, 14; Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38-39; Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41; 8:5, 12; John 3:23; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:14-17; Hebrews 6:2)
• God’s appointed Holy Days, which identify aspects of Jesus Christ and His work in the plan for mankind’s current and future salvation, were ordained by God, to be kept by Ancient Israel and the New Testament Church. (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11; 12:1-49; Leviticus 23:1-44; Matthew 26:17-20; Mark 6:2; Luke 2:41-42; 4:16, 31; 22:15; Acts 2:1; 13:14, 27; 15:21; 20:6, 16; 27:9; Zechariah 14:16-21)
• Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and it is through Jesus Christ that we come to God the Father. (Ephesians 5:23; 4:14-16, 1:22-23; Hebrews 2:5-9; I Peter 2:4-10; John 6:44, 65)
• Salvation saves mankind from the penalty of sin, gives him eternal life and brings him into the family of God. (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 9:27-28; John 3:16-17; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 5:6; James 2:13-26)
• Sin is the transgression of God’s Law, as revealed by the Holy Bible. (I John 3:4; Romans 3:20)
• God’s Law was given to man at Mt. Sinai and is being written in the hearts and minds of His people through His Holy Spirit. (Exodus 20:1-17; Psalm 119:137-144; Mathew 5:17-19; John 14:15, 23-26; Jeremiah 24:7; 31:31-34; Romans 7:12; I John 5:2-3)
• God’s plan for the salvation of mankind involves resurrections from the dead. At times appointed by God, a resurrection from the dead is a promise to all Christians and the hope of all mankind. (John 5:28-29; Acts 2:32; Romans 8:11; I Corinthians 15:20-24; I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 20:4-6; 13-14)
• Following the example of the New Testament Church, a non-hierarchical, servant leadership form of church leadership emphasizes that each of us must have a personal relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ. (Matthew 20:25-28; Acts 1:23-26; Ephesians 4:11-16)
